Jules & Kelly
Jules and Kelly first met in the beautiful one Bhakti in Sri Lanka in 2025. It didn't take long for us to realise we shared the same vision to create spaces where people could reconnect with themselves through heartfelt practice, community, and authentic teaching.
With our complementary backgrounds in Yin Yoga and Bhakti, we knew our teachings were meant to come together. By weaving the stillness and therapeutic depth of Yin with the uplifting, heart-opening practices of Bhakti, we offer a unique and balanced experience that nourishes body, mind, and spirit.
Together, we are honoured to share these trainings with you and to create a supportive space for learning, connection, and transformation.
About Kelly
Welcome, My journey with yoga began when I was 21, when I was first introduced to meditation and the deeper practices of yoga. I could never have known then quite how profoundly these teachings would shape my life, or that they would eventually become such an important part of both my personal and professional path.
I studied Physical Education, Dance and Sports & Exercise Science at university, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 2012. Movement had always been a huge part of my life, and after graduating I went on to work within education, building a career that has now spanned more than a decade.
I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga with Imir Frazer, before continuing my studies in Yin and Restorative Yoga at Yoga Campus with Adelene Cheong.
Over the years I have completed more than 900 hours of professional training across yoga, yoga therapy, meditation, grief tending and related practices.
My work and personal practice have incorporated Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and Restorative Yoga, meditation, breathwork, Yoga Nidra, mantra, somatic movement, journaling and nervous-system regulation.
But yoga has never simply been a physical practice for me. As my own life changed, so did my relationship with these teachings.
Wanting to understand more deeply how yoga could support people through the realities of being human, I undertook extensive professional training in Yoga Therapy.
In 2022, I completed my Level 7 Diploma in Yoga Therapy with The Minded Institute.
This training allowed me to bring together traditional yogic practices with a therapeutic and individualised approach. My work may draw upon movement, meditation, breath practices, Yoga Nidra, somatic awareness, journaling, mantra and other contemplative practices, depending on the needs of the individual.
I believe deeply that there is no single practice that is right for everybody. My approach is therefore always responsive to the person in front of me.
Some of the greatest shifts in my practice came through my own experiences of loss and grief.
Following the death of my father, yoga took on an entirely different meaning. During this period I began working more deeply with mantra, meditation and devotional practices. Mantra became something I could return to when words were not enough.
I began studying mantra more deeply, learning from teachers in person and allowing the practice to unfold organically rather than setting out with the intention of becoming a Kirtan leader.
Over time, I began learning harmonium, exploring voice and sound, chanting with others and eventually sharing Kirtan myself.
My Bhakti path has also taken me to Vrindavan, India, where I spent two weeks on pilgrimage, immersed in daily chanting, devotional practice and the teachings of Bhakti. That experience strengthened something that had already been growing within me: a desire to live and share these practices from a place of genuine devotion and from the heart.
Today, I share Bhakti Yoga, mantra and Kirtan, as well as supporting yoga teachers who would like to explore how devotional practices can be woven authentically into their own teaching.
My own relationship with grief also led me to explore how we can create meaningful spaces in which grief is allowed to be witnessed rather than hidden away.
I completed Grief Tending training with Nikki Harrison and have continued to deepen this area of my work through mentoring and professional support.
I now work as a Grief Tending Practitioner, offering both individual and group spaces for people experiencing grief, loss and significant life change.
My approach is embodied rather than centred solely around talking. Sessions are completely bespoke and may incorporate breathwork, journaling, somatic movement, meditation, mantra, ritual and yogic philosophy, alongside space to simply be with what is present.
I am not a talking therapist or counsellor. My work sits alongside, rather than replaces, clinical or psychological support where this is needed.
Alongside my one-to-one work, I have spent many years teaching yoga and holding group spaces.
I teach Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative and Bhakti Yoga, alongside meditation, breathwork, mantra and Yoga Nidra.
I have facilitated Kirtans, workshops, courses, day retreats and international residential retreats, bringing together practices that invite people to move, rest, reflect, connect and experience community.
I also lead Bhakti immersions and trainings, supporting yoga teachers and practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of Bhakti, mantra, Kirtan, voice and devotional practice.
One of the things I value most is creating spaces where people do not feel that they need to perform, achieve or arrive as a particular version of themselves.
Today I work as a Bhakti Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist, Grief Tending Practitioner, Kirtan Leader, Retreat Facilitator and Educator.
Everything I teach comes from practices that I continue to live, study and return to within my own life.
And after all these years, I still consider myself a student first.
With love,
Kelly
About Jules
Yoga teacher / Teacher Trainer /Eternal Student
Jules has spent over a decade immersed in the study and practice of yoga, training extensively with respected teachers from around the world. Based on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, Jules is a registered senior yoga teacher and co-owner of One Bhakti School of Yoga and Ayurveda, where she shares the transformative wisdom of deep postural understanding with a passion for Ayurveda and Vedic studies.
Jules has developed a rich and diverse teaching approach rooted in both ancient wisdom and lived experience. She has assisted international retreats and teacher trainings in Australia and Costa Rica, leading retreats, immersions, and accredited teacher trainings since 2016.
The wisdom of her teachers continues to be woven through her life and teachings, shaping a practice grounded in authenticity, devotion, and lifelong learning. Her intention is simple: to support others in cultivating a deeper relationship with themselves, living with greater presence, compassion, and authenticity. To have a tangible relationship with living yoga, rather than seeing it as an isolated practice.
Jules has been guided under many local and international teachers, namely under the tutelage of global Prana Flow Teacher Shiva Rea. Assisting Shiva in international retreats and teacher trainings in Australia and Costa Rica. Further leading to her own retreats, immersions, teacher training in Bali, Sri Lanka and Australia.
Her teachings consist of mantras, mudras, pranayama, asana, tantric meditation and Indic mythology, expanding into an embodied yogic journey. She encourages growth and interconnection of the physical and spiritual self within students, and seeks to help others thrive by nurturing their own body and soul wisdom through yoga. Jules’ hopes her students will step off their mat and into everyday life with that same nourishment and compassion to life.
