About the Day Retreat

As nature begins to slow and the days grow shorter, we are invited to do the same. Join us for a nourishing day of deep rest, gentle ritual, and soulful connection as we embrace the wisdom of the season and create space to simply be. This retreat is an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and enter a sanctuary of stillness, restoration, and renewal. Together, we will explore practices that soothe the nervous system.

Throughout the day, you will be guided through restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep), mantra meditation, gentle kirtan, breathwork, and sacred rituals designed to support deep rest. This retreat is for anyone feeling tired, overwhelmed, depleted, or longing for a day of slowing down. No previous experience is needed just a willingness to pause, soften, and receive.

During the day you will experience:

Restorative Yoga

Yoga Nidra (Deep Rest Practice)

Nervous System Regulation Techniques

Mantra Meditation Heart-Centred Kirtan

Seasonal Rituals and Reflection

Journaling and Quiet Contemplation

A Nourishing Lunch

Tea

Connection and Community

As we move towards winter, this is an invitation to honour the natural rhythm of rest and renewal. Through very slow gentle restorative movement, sound, silence, and ritual, we will create space to replenish our energy, restore balance, and return home to ourselves.

THE SCHEDULE

Honouring Rest | 11:00am–5:00pm

11:00–11:30am — Arrival, Welcome Tea & Opening Circle
Arrive, settle in and allow yourself to gently transition out of the busyness of everyday life. We’ll begin with tea and an opening circle, introducing the intention of the day: honouring our need for rest and creating space to simply be.

11:30am–12:45pm — Gentle Yoga: Slowing Down with Kelly
A nourishing morning practice centred around slowing down and reconnecting with the body. Through gentle movement, breathwork and moments of stillness, we’ll explore what it feels like to move without rushing, striving or needing to achieve anything. An invitation to listen to what your body needs and begin softening into rest.

12:45–1:45pm — Nourishing Lunch
Time to pause and enjoy a nourishing vegetarian lunch together. There will be space to eat slowly, connect with others, enjoy the surroundings and simply take your time.

1:45–2:45pm — Honouring Rest Workshop
An interactive and reflective workshop exploring our relationship with rest. We’ll consider why slowing down can sometimes feel difficult, the expectations we place upon ourselves, and how we can begin creating more space for rest in everyday life.

2:45–3:15pm — Tea, Cake & Pause
A spacious break for tea and cake, conversation or quiet time. There is nowhere you need to be and nothing you need to do.

3:15–4:30pm — Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra: Deep Rest
The afternoon will move into an even slower rhythm with a deeply restorative Yin practice. Supported postures and longer holds will invite the body to soften .

A chance to lie down, be supported and experience rest without needing to earn it.

4:30–5:00pm — Gentle Kirtan & Closing Circle
We’ll close our day together through gentle mantra and Kirtan. You’re welcome to sing, listen or simply receive the sound.

We’ll finish with a closing circle, taking a moment to reflect on the day and consider how we might carry the practice of honouring rest with us beyond the retreat.
