Yoga Therapy course- Brighton May - 2026

This 8‑week yoga therapy course is designed to support individuals experiencing stress, overwhelm, or nervous system dysregulation. Grounded in trauma‑aware, therapeutic yoga principles, the course offers gentle, accessible practices that support regulation, self‑awareness, and resilience.

Each week builds progressively, offering practical tools that can be integrated into daily life. This course is suitable for beginners and those with prior yoga experience. Practices are adaptable and invitational, with an emphasis on choice, safety, and self‑compassion.

Aims of the Course :

To reduce the impact of stress on the body, mind, and nervous system

To support nervous system regulation and resilience

To cultivate embodied awareness and emotional literacy

To provide practical tools for self‑soothing and stress management

To support participants in reconnecting with a sense of safety, agency, and balance Course Structure Each weekly session (60 minutes) includes:

Wednesday evenings 6:15-7:15pm

A brief check‑in and intention setting

Psycho‑education around stress and the nervous system

Gentle therapeutic movement (asana)

Breathwork (pranayama)

Somatic awareness and mindfulness practices

Guided rest and/or meditation

Reflection and optional home practice suggestions.
